MDDN 241: Concept 2
This concept is a lot more simple than the last concept. It doesn't rely on the use of water and each shape is solid so they wouldn't be as difficult to produce. It begins with a solid shining diamond that is reflecting all light, making rays of light shine everywhere. Then a 'time-lapse' begins and earth and rock begins to grow around the diamond, covering up its shine. The shine is slowly covered up until there is just a single ray left. Than is then covered with the growth of rock. Then the form begins to shake and crack and a shard of the rock falls from the rest of the shape. Then a glimpse of the diamond is visible through the layers of rocks. This could be developed further to have more materials such as earth and dirt to grow over the layers or rock. Because of the dense strength of the diamond, when the rock cracks a corner of the diamond sticks out and remains solid.
