[Above] This is an image of the reading chip for an external hard drive. The red and black wires connect to an LED that is the light display on the hard drive when the casing is connected. There are a lot of small components that i don't recognize and a lot of small numbers that mean nothing to me, possibly because they are a smaller version of a larger counterpart. There's a small microcontroller on the lower image of the two.
[Above] This is a guitar tuner that uses LEDs to determine what pitch the sound is. At the bottom of the circuit board is what i believe to be capacitors? Possibly? Not overly sure, Comment if i'm wrong. These two different circuit boards have some resemblance to one another with the components that are used.
